Power Generation just by walking
The power of wind and tide have been harnessed. Now underfloor generators "heel strike" of the generates power designed by british engineers. This technolgy might be applied in super markets and railway stations where continuous pedastrians are present.
In brief , this technology uses the foot steps of pedastrians to power thousands of light bulbs at shopping centers. It works by using the pressure of feet on the floor to compress pads underneath, driving fluid through mini turbines which generate electricity and stored in the battery.
Underground station in Central London have calculated that 34,000 travellers passing through every hour could power 6,500 light bulbs.
In addition to floors , this technology can be installed beneath railway lines and on road bridges to exploit the energy of passing trains and vehicles.
The technology is based on the mini-generators built into soldier's boots, trailed by Americal military.
More and more technologies like this must evolve to counteract the power demand.
