Solar Cell working principle !
Light striking on the surface of the material leads to emission of electrons. This is something like the electron kicks out the electron from the atom.
Silicon is doped to form N type and P type using the impurities. When the sun beam strikes the NP material to recombine the electrons which is nothing but the flow of current. This is called Photo electric effect.
Photovoltaic cells or Solar cells are like generators which generate electricity using the Sun light. No waste of power, No noise and No pollution in this process. As there are not moving parts , nothing wears out. Fuel is just the PHOTON.
